In 2011 Ellicott dredge enterprises acquired the companies Rohr Bagger GMBH (Germany), IDRECO BV (the Netherlands) in 2012, and shortly thereafter the distributor of Rohr in France, Rohr France Sàrl. These companies each had their own distinct product portfolio but were often serving the same clientele in the sand & gravel-, mining- and hydrodam desiltation industry.
Over the past year, with new management in place, the cooperation between the entities strengthened, which led to the logical decision of integrating the manufacturing operations into one location. The Idreco suction dredgers are now being built at the facilities in Mannheim, Germany.
Engineering of the suction dredgers, pump design & manufacturing, and international sales and services will continue to operate out of the Dutch office. To serve our Clients better, the respective sales teams in Holland, Germany and France will represent the complete portfolio of suction-, clamshell- and bucketladder dredgers, the full Idreco iPump® range, and related equipment.
To reflect this enhanced cooperation, the three entities have been renamed as joint brand ROHR-IDRECO Dredgers in the Netherlands, ROHR-IDRECO Bagger in Germany, and ROHR-IDRECO Dragues in France.
